Nice place with amenities like free Wi-Fi, a restaurant, a poolside snack bar, and excellent 24-hour service. I'll always remember how the staff promptly resolved my room issue during my first stay. Highly recommend!

The atmosphere of the hotel is quiet. The rooms are well-equipped and brand-new with 1 bed and the staff are very amiable. The breakfast is absolutely superb with a lot of things to eat and drink.

There was not much we liked about the hotel. We checked in late and the first thing we did after breakfast was checking out.
It's a large hotel which was probably the greatest in the beginning of the 1980s. Since then nothing seems to have changed. Everything feel very dated. Staff was plain rude when checking in.

Efficient service; good location, near to night market.
Room decoration quite dark and dingy. We paid extra for room on higher floor and view was great but not sure it was worth extra money. Very busy large hotel full of big tour group parties which made breakfast buffet a scrimmage and sound proofing of rooms not good.

Couldn't recommend more for a weekend break
Comfortable stay, friendly staff, great amenities, including a lovely breakfast buffet with a wide range of options, and a fitness center perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
Nothing that I didn't like.

Exceptionally comfortable and absolutely brilliant hotel with welcoming staff especially from the front desk manager and breakfast manager, really enjoyed our staying. The breakfast offered was very very good with wide varied of food. The location was particularly good, for example, Iron Bridge was a 10-15 minute walking distance from the property. The area was fairly quiet right by local restaurant as well as the famous Wat Doi Suthep temple.

Large room.
The hotel is located far from the city centre but close to the Night Bazar. No safety deposit box in the room. Limited breakfast selection. Non-heated swimming pool.

Staying at Empress Hotel was good. The clean hotel featured a lovely pool, and the staff provided excellent service. Despite a busy breakfast situation, I enjoyed my experience and appreciated the gifts during check-in. Just a touch more organization at breakfast would enhance the stay further.

Fairly well situated. Hotel staff helpful
Over priced and not especially comfortable or luxurious - does not merit 4 star grading. I was given a small, pokey room even though I had booked a deluxe one (this was changed after I asked). Hotel v full with usa conference participants. Pictures of hotel on internet deceptive eg the pool is very shallow, not like the picture and you can't swim in the shallow end. The hotel advertises itself as a "quiet" place but my room overlooked a school which was very noisy.

Pick up service from airport was great and we checked in early due to our flight which was no problem. Breakfast buffet was good and restaurant food was great and well priced. Staff was nice and helpful. Massage place near hotel was awesome . we went everyday. Great location to shopping and markets ..away from hustle bustle but close enough...will definatley stay here again ..beautiful maid put gorgeous orchids in my room that i had commented on and chocolates and flowers on our bed at night !
We had booked non smoking room and they said they were all booked and put us in a smoking room which i complained about ..the halls had a smoky musky smell. older style hotel but nice .
